As a former athlete, growing up playing competitive sports, I love a gym environment. However, as a former athlete that then happened to gain over 100 pounds in college and in my corporate position, at 300 pounds I did not love a gym environment.

I can relate to owning the gym space, being confident with the equipment and knowing what to do. I can also relate to the experience of “I’m not ready to go to the gym yet..”, or “I will go to that class once I lose 10 pounds then I will be ready..”. I have experienced both, and likely you have too or you will.

During covid, I took my life back and worked to naturally lose over 100 pounds, have kept it off, and continue to play sports and find great workouts that work for me.

In this series of the blog, I will be reviewing and explaining the overall concept and my experience at the gym, various membership ranges and opportunities, types of classes, hours, equipment, etc.
